The Founder’s Story

The Weed Exchange was created by Michael Ferguson Valenzuela, a former Downtown Los Angeles real estate broker born with deformities in his feet and knees that caused severe physical and emotional pain from childhood and into his adult life. After decades of crippling pain, Michael found that cannabis helped him cope with the debilitating pain.

In 2016, at the age of 42, Michael underwent two separate surgical procedures that he hoped would help him walk without pain one day but instead resulted in even more painful and debilitating arthrofibrosis in both of his knees which his doctors have told him is untreatable.

Online marketing being one of Michael’s many strengths, he decided to build this online resource and pivot away from marketing real estate online to marketing for cannabis companies online.

And so, The Weed Exchange, was born.

The Weed Exchange serves to help anyone suffering from a condition that cannabis can possibly treat find cannabis solutions and providers as quickly and as conveniently as possible. Likewise, The Weed Exchange provides cannabis businesses a more affordable way to connect with cannabis users.
